The online MSW program has a Clinical Social Work Practice concentration and is offered in a part-time format. The traditional program can be completed in three years while the advanced standing program can be completed in two years. For students who want/need flexible scheduling, the program uses asynchronous instruction, meaning students are not required to log on at specific times to attend classes. Instead, students are given deadlines to complete assignments and can log in and view lectures any time during the day or night.
FSU’s online MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and helps to prepare students to take the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) clinical examinations, which are required to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
